The current bridge was built over 25 years ago to serve as a critical link between Boling Park and the Sutallee Trace Trails system. The bridge needs to be replaced. The project to replace the bridge is being undertaken by the Trace Trail Stewards and Scouts Canton, Inc. The goal is to replace the bridge in time to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the opening of the trail system.

About
I worked on the Appalachian Trail throughout Tennessee for 10 years. I was certified as a sawyer by the Forest Service, but the certification has expired. My favorite activity is designing and building new trails. I have completed two new trail sections in Soleil at Laurel Canyon, and have started working on a third. I would like to see a trail connecting the Trace Trail to Donaldson's Furnace, as I have published a biographical fiction book about the Donaldson family and their impact on the Canton area from 1830 to 1890. The book is called "Southern Duty: A Story of Georgia Pioneers" and is available on Amazon.
