The current bridge was built over 25 years ago to serve as a critical link between Boling Park and the Etowah Hiking Trails system. The bridge needs to be replaced. The project to replace the bridge is being undertaken by the Trace Trail Stewards and Scouts Canton, Inc. The goal is to replace the bridge in time to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the opening of the trail system.
